How do I save a SQL Server .mdf file?

I have a simple table that I made in SQL Server. I need to turn that database that it is in into a .mdf file so that I can use it in my ASP.NET application.

You have probably already created the .mdf.

Note the name of your database.
Browse to "Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQL (or .1 or SQLExpress or similar) Data"

In there should be the .mdf of your database, along with the corresponding .ldf logfile.

To be able to move it elsewhere, you need to "detach" it using the Enterprise Manager or other tool. You can reattach it afterwards.

However, you don't need to do all this to use it in an ASP.NET app; it should be able to connect to the SQLServer as a data source. There are a zillion resources showing how to do that.
